Bingo night, minus the work

How it works

A laptop on your TV, your phone as the remote, and two hosts who handle the rest. Here's everything that happens between ordering and yelling BINGO.

Three steps

  1. Order and fill in the names

Pick your party, the date and the length (45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes), and type in your guests' first names. For the adult parties, you also answer a few questions for the jokes and choose who wins.

  2. Approve the script, get your link

Before anything is recorded, you get the full script of your show on a web page. Approve a line, cut it or rewrite it. Then we record the voices and email you your show link.

  3. Put the show on your TV

Connect a laptop to the TV with HDMI, open the link in the browser and use your phone as the remote. Print the cards, hand them out, press play. Bingley and Bella take it from there.

What you need

  • A laptop or computer with internet

The show runs in the browser. Nothing to install, no account to make.

  • A TV with an HDMI port, plus the cable or adapter for your laptop.

  • A phone to use as the remote

Pause, skip a song, make the show shorter or longer.

  • A speaker, if you have one

TV speakers work. A real speaker makes Bingley funnier, which he needs.

  • A printer for the cards

They print in black and white on Letter or A4 paper.

  • Two minutes for the setup check

Do it before the party, on the TV you'll use.

The setup check

Your show link works from delivery until 30 days after your party, and you can start it as often as you like. Open it early and run the setup check: it tests the picture, the sound and the remote, and it loads all the voices ahead of time, so a shaky connection won't stop the show halfway.

Do it on the same TV and Wi-Fi you'll use on the day. Then close the laptop and go back to party planning.

During the show

  • Three rounds: one line, two lines, then the full card. Between songs, the hosts call one, two or three numbers at a time, and every so often a speed round.

  • Someone's late or left early?

On the remote, switch off whoever isn't there and add extra players. If a planned winner is missing, the show picks a new one.

  • Running long?

The remote can make the show shorter or wrap it up fast. The songs drop out first; the jokes keep going.

How the songs work

Between rounds, the show plays a song from YouTube in its own panel on the screen. Each party has its own playlist, picked for that crowd.

You don't need YouTube Premium. Without it, YouTube may show an ad before a song; the show waits up to five seconds and then moves on to the next song. With YouTube Premium on the same browser, you won't see ads.

The videos come from YouTube and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. Now and then a video disappears or doesn't play in your area; the show simply goes to the next one.

If something goes wrong

All questions

There's no sound on the TV or laptop.

Check the volume on the TV or laptop and that the right output is selected, for example your Bluetooth speaker. Then click the screen once: browsers only play sound after a click.

There's no sound on an iPhone or iPad.

The silent switch on the side also mutes the show. Flip it so you don't see the orange line, then press Test again.

A song won't start, or an ad appears.

Sometimes YouTube shows an ad first. The show waits up to five seconds and then skips to the next song. YouTube Premium on the same browser avoids this.

The show stutters or loads slowly.

Run the setup check again close to your router. It preloads all the voices, so a hiccup won't stop the show. If that doesn't help, use your phone's hotspot.

My link doesn't work, or I lost it.

Your link works from delivery until 30 days after your party, and you can start it as often as you like. You can request a new link on the help page and it lands in your inbox right away.

Ready when your party is.

Pick a party, fill in the names, run the setup check. That's the whole job.
