FAQ
Questions, answered
Short answers first, details after. If your question isn't here, the help page in your order email has a form, and a person reads what it can't answer.
Setup
Do I need anything special?
No. A laptop or computer with internet, a TV with HDMI and a cable or adapter, a phone as the remote and a printer for the cards. A speaker helps.
Do I need to install anything or make an account?
No. The show runs in the browser from a link we email you. No app, no account.
Can I use a smart TV without a laptop?
We recommend a laptop connected to the TV with HDMI. That's the setup we test and support.
How early can I test it?
Your link works from delivery until 30 days after your party, and you can start it as often as you like. Run the setup check on the TV you'll use; it tests picture, sound and remote, and loads the voices ahead of time.
How long is the show?
You pick 45, 60, 75 or 90 minutes when you order. The price is the same. There are always three rounds: one line, two lines, then the full card.
How many players?
From 2 to 60 players. Up to 40 of them can have their first name on a card and in the show; extra guests get cards without a name.
Do guests need their phones?
No. Guests play on printed cards. Only the host uses a phone, as the remote.
How many times can I start the show?
As often as you like, until 30 days after your party, so test runs and restarts are always covered.
Songs and YouTube
How do the songs work?
Between rounds, the show plays a song from YouTube in its own panel on the screen, from a playlist picked for your kind of party. The videos come from YouTube and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.
Do I need YouTube Premium?
No. Without Premium, YouTube may show an ad before a song. The show waits up to five seconds and then moves on to the next song. With Premium on the same browser, you won't see ads.
What kind of music is it?
Each party has its own playlist. Bachelorette: pop and R&B from the late '90s and 2000s, a country block and line dances. Bachelor: bar classics, sing-alongs and bar country. Bridal shower: love songs and sing-alongs from Motown to recent soft pop, with no explicit lyrics. Kids: kid-friendly party songs.
Can I pick the songs?
Not at the moment. Each party uses its own playlist.
What if a song won't play?
Sometimes a video disappears or doesn't play in your area. The show skips to the next one.
Names and privacy
What happens to the names?
We only ask for first names, and only use them to make your show. Your order details and guest list, plus anything you told us about the bride or groom, are deleted 30 days after your party. A recording of a first name in a general line, like "Happy birthday, Mia!", is kept for reuse and is no longer linked to you.
Are Bingley and Bella real?
No. Their voices are made with AI. We write the shows and check every line, and you read the script before anything is recorded.
What if a name is unusual?
We record every name for your show, not just the common ones.
Does the site use tracking cookies?
No. We count visits without tracking cookies.
Personal jokes
Which shows have personal jokes?
The bachelorette and the bachelor include them. For the bridal shower, they're an add-on. The kids' show keeps it to names and dance breaks: no one gets teased except Bingley.
How do you write them?
From your answers in the order form: yes-or-no questions a good friend can answer, plus a few blanks. You get at least 10 personal jokes, plus the hosts' own material.
What if a joke goes too far?
It doesn't get recorded unless you approve it. You see the full script on a web page first and can approve, cut or rewrite every line.
Can I set how spicy the jokes are?
For the bachelorette and the bachelor, yes: mild, teasing or spicy. The bridal shower stays mild.
What won't you joke about?
Bodies, money, background, and at the bachelor party, the bride. We go after habits, plans and dance moves.
Can I choose who wins?
At the bachelorette, bachelor and bridal shower, yes: random, the bride or groom, or someone else. Their card wins the last round. You decide who wins. Nobody will know.
Payment and refunds
What does it cost?
One price per party, no subscription, the same at every length. See the pricing page for each show.
How do I pay?
Through Stripe at checkout, in U.S. dollars, with the payment methods shown there.
What if it doesn't work at my party?
If the show doesn't work at your party even though you ran the setup check, you get your money back or a new show. Email us within 14 days of your party. This comes on top of your rights under the law.
Is an ad or a missing song a malfunction?
No. YouTube showing an ad or a song becoming unavailable doesn't count. If YouTube blocks the songs from playing in the show before your party, you get a refund.
Can we play for prizes?
Prizes are up to you. We don't provide any, and Bingo Bingley is just for fun: no betting and no cash prizes.
Venues
Can we play at a rented venue?
Yes, for a private party with your own guests, at home or in a space you rent for the party.
Can a bar or restaurant use it for customers?
No. It isn't for public or ticketed events, or for a business entertaining its customers.
Is there an age limit?
Whoever orders must be 18 or older. The kids' show is made for ages 7 to 14.
